Philippa Vafadari FOUND

ZENDEH is thrilled to annouce that Philippa Vafadari has joined the cast of FOUND.

Philippa will be playing the role of Shirin, an employee of the Iranian Embassy in Paris during the Second World War.

Philippa is Creative Director of BandBazi (a Farsi word meaning trapeze) an award winning, multicultural and inclusive performing arts company that uses circus and theatre skills to give a voice to marginalised groups through professional productions and education programmes. She trained as an actress at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She created the roles of Regan in Seven Lears (1989) and Goodgirl in Golgo (1990) for Howard Barker's The Wrestling School at the Royal Court Theatre, London.

Rehearsals for FOUND begin in February and the show will open at Northern Stage on 21 March 2012 before going to The Maltings, Berwick upon Tweed.
