FLOCK WORKSHOPS

FLOCK is inspired by an epic poem called The Conference of the Birds by Farid Attar a poet from the North East of Iran. The poem tells the tale of a quest by the birds of the world to find their ideal leader.

Schools Workshop

ZENDEH is offering a poetry and citizenship workshop to schools as part of the development of FLOCK.

No Rouz is the Iranian new year. It marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the year in the Iranian calendar.

The workshop will be led by our Associate Writer, Steven Gaythorpe, and is available at your convenience from 1st February to 23rd March 2012.

Poetry and Performance Workshops

To celebrate Shab-e Yalda on 22nd December 2011 we ran a series of poetry workshops with community groups in Gateshead, and created a Pop Up Performance at The Sage Gateshead. See the video and read the poetry here
